Your New Role

As an Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, assessing their unique needs, arranging appropriate insurance cover, and maintaining strong long-term relationships. This role requires excellent communication skills, bilingual ability in English and Chinese, and strong industry knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess clients’ insurance needs and research suitable insurance products.

  • Conduct client interviews to explain policy conditions, coverage, premiums, and benefits.

  • Arrange insurance policies in collaboration with insurance companies.

  • Act on behalf of clients to place and manage various types of insurance.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance business with a focus on profitability.

  • Prepare policy renewals and contribute to client retention.

  • Provide claims support and ensure valid claims are processed efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Tier 1 General Insurance Broking qualification (mandatory).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in business/commercial insurance broking.

  • Familiarity with broker systems (Eclipse, Insight, Sunrise, SVU) preferred.

  • Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese (spoken and written).

  • Professional and client-focused manner with strong relationship management skills.

  • Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Business preferred.

  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work independently.

  • $76,515 – $80,000 per year plus superannuation.
