Your New Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Tutors with the ability to teach IB English, VCE English, English Language, Literature, or EAL. This part-time/casual role is based at the Box Hill campus and requires availability during after-school hours and weekends. The role is ideal for educators who are passionate about shaping students’ abilities beyond the classroom and encouraging them to see the bigger picture in education.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and structured lessons in IB / VCE English, Literature, English Language, or EAL.
Support students in developing critical and creative thinking skills.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance tailored to individual learning needs.
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive classroom environment.
Encourage students to extend their skills beyond curriculum requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement and curriculum enhancement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field preferred.
Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly regarded, but motivated graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage students in a patient, inspiring, and professional manner.
Mandarin language skills desirable but not essential (many students are of Chinese heritage)
Availability for evening shifts and weekends (10–15 hours per week).
Valid Australian work rights.
Salary & Benefits
$40 – $70 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Part-time / casual role with flexible scheduling.
