Your New Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (New Graduate) to join the team in Gordon, with a key focus on medication rounds. This part-time role (4 days per week, 52 hours per fortnight) offers an excellent opportunity for early-career nurses to gain experience within a supportive environment, delivering high-quality clinical care to residents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out safe and efficient medication rounds in compliance with legislation and clinical standards.

  • Provide direct clinical care and support for residents, including wound management and chronic health conditions.

  • Develop, implement, and review care plans in consultation with residents and their families.

  • Mentor and guide care staff, ensuring high-quality person-centred care.

  • Conduct care assessments when scheduled or when changes in health status occur.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.

  • Support visits from medical practitioners and allied health professionals.

  • Monitor and document residents’ conditions and behaviours.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain care standards.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, EEO, and anti-discrimination legislation.

Job Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

  • Maximum of 12 months of post-registration nursing experience (new graduate eligibility).

  • Demonstrated knowledge in care planning and delivery for older people.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills in English.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems).

  • Evidence of leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

  • National Police Clearance.

  • Full Australian work rights.

  • Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese desirable but not essential.

  • Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse populations advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

  • From $43.88 per hour plus superannuation.
