Your New Role
As a Junior Software Developer, you will support the development, enhancement, and optimisation of server and web applications. Working closely with the Operations Manager and internal teams, you will assist in application design, API integrations, UX improvements, and overall system reliability.
Job Responsibilities
· Update, design, and enhance existing server applications that integrate with external APIs.
· Assist in UX design and development to improve usability for internal and external stakeholders.
· Maintain and optimise server performance, ensuring stability and reliability.
· Communicate effectively with multilingual stakeholders.
· Interpret specifications, technical designs, and flow charts to implement functionality.
· Build, maintain, and modify server and web application code in line with specifications.
· Test, debug, and resolve application issues, ensuring quality standards are met.
· Write and maintain technical documentation, end-user guides, and operational procedures.
· Research and evaluate system needs to identify technology limitations and propose solutions.
· Collaborate with internal teams to integrate features and software components.
· Contribute to continuous improvement practices, including automation and CI/CD workflows.
Job Requirements
· Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis.
· Backend development in at least one language (Python or PHP).
· Experience with external API development and integrations.
· Proficiency in web technologies (HTTP, JSON, XML).
· Frontend development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
· Excellent communication skills; multilingual ability (English, Indonesian, Chinese, Korean) is highly regarded.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant software development experience.
Salary & Benefits
· $75,000 per year plus superannuation.
· Full-time role based in Melbourne Head Office.
