Our client is a fast-growing franchise group in the quick service restaurant industry, specialising in authentic Chinese cuisine. Your New Role

We are seeking both an Assistant Store Manager and a Store Manager to oversee daily operations of a new store in Melbourne CBD. These roles require strong leadership, operational efficiency, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Manage staff rostering and scheduling in compliance with labour regulations.

  • Conduct staff training on food preparation, safety, and customer service.

  • Oversee stock management including ordering, monitoring, and minimising wastage.

  • Operate the ABACUS POS system (or similar) for order processing, cash handling, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with opening/closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and security protocols.

  • Provide hands-on support with food preparation, packaging, and serving during peak times.

  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to drive performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers in both English and Mandarin.

  • Introduce and demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to the kitchen team.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the quick service or restaurant industry.

  • Familiarity with ABACUS POS (or equivalent) highly regarded.

  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent leadership qualities to train, motivate, and manage staff.

  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.

  • Availability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends.

Salary & Benefits

  • $60,000 – $68,000 per annum, depending on experience.
